Reuse Opaque code and documentation

Availability: these terms apply to revisions containing these license files. Use the license shipped with the exact source revision or binary you consume.

Code and documentation

Opaque's original source code, examples, configuration, schemas, site templates, styles, scripts, and build artifacts use Apache License 2.0. The complete text is in the repository's LICENSE file. Commercial use, modification, and redistribution are permitted subject to that license, including its notice requirements and patent provisions.

Original documentation prose and illustrations, including Markdown files and the rendered documentation site, use Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International. The complete text is in LICENSE-DOCS. Attribute Opaque and the credited authors, link the license and source, and identify your changes. Code snippets in the documentation are additionally available under Apache-2.0.

Third-party material and names

Bundled Archivo and IBM Plex Mono fonts retain their SIL Open Font License 1.1 terms and notices in assets/brand/licenses/. Dependencies and any material carrying its own license retain those terms. Preserve their notices when redistributing them. The root NOTICE records this scope.

These licenses grant no rights to Opaque or third-party trademarks. A license does not establish affiliation with OWASP, the Apache Software Foundation, Google AX, or Temporal.

Earlier revisions and contributions

Earlier tags, binary releases, pinned examples, and Git revisions retain the license shipped with them. This change does not rewrite their files or relabel historical artifacts. Check the exact revision before redistribution.

For new contributions, read CONTRIBUTING.md and sign your commits under the Developer Certificate of Origin. The license files in this public repository do not license separately maintained repositories.
